Arts, Crafts & Motherhood

Hello! For those who do not know me, I am a former elementary teacher turned stay at home mom turned homeschool mom/teacher! Homeschooling is not something I had planned on doing. We always wanted to send our daughters to public school, to go to field trips, to play with their friends at recess, to sit with their friends at lunch, to work on group projects, to earn awards... you know....to have that school experience. Then things changed. I began to look at public equation differently and made the decision to homeschool my children. It was a hard decision at that time, but now, I am excited, happy, and sure in my decision. I look forward to being involved in my children's learning.

Anyways, as I sat down to try to prepare for this upcoming school year, I found myself trying to figure out how I wanted to organize my ideas and plans and to track our hours. No matter what I found at stores or online, it wasn't quite what I had in mind. Being the creative person that I am I decided to create one! The planning sheets I created allows me to see the entire week and all the subjects at once. It also allows me to jot down notes and track our minutes. I printed off both pages back to back, hole punched them, and put them in a 3 ring binder. You could also print them and have it bound.

Now that Christmas is done and all my decorations are put away, my walls and shelves are looking way too empty! As a crafter and DIY-er, you can't have that!

Since it's too early to start Valentines decor, I decided to create a few winter pieces for my house!

Check out this ADORABLE and super EASY reverse canvas I made with one of my FREE printables!!! Grab the printable below!

It doesn't get any cuter and easier than this!

I decided to use the winter printable to make a with a Dollar Tree 8x10 canvas, but you can totally use it any way you can dream! You could make a revers canvas, use a Dollar Tree picture frame, apply the printable on wood, etc! Be creative!

I have been really really ---like REALLY-- getting into my Christmas DIYs! There are so many things you can do and so many unique ways to use the supplies you can find in stores!

My favorite stores to get Christmas crafting supplies are DOLLAR TREE and HOBBY LOBBY! I enjoy going to Hobby Lobby to look for inspiration. I wander down the holiday isles looking for things that catch my eye. Then I brainstorm how I can recreate it!

Here are some things I found during my last trip to Hobby Lobby.

Anyways...I wanted to create a Christmas printable for you all to create with! I LOVE the black and white buffalo check look and the "Christmas Tree" farm idea, so here is what I created!

I made a rectangular version and a square version so you can use it multiple ways!

There are so many ways you can use these printables!

-put them in a frame

-put them on a wood blank from Dollar Tree

-put them on a block of wood to make a shelf sitter

-shrink them down and make an ornament

-MORE!

Here is how I used the rectangular printable PDF one using....

-Dollar Tree wood tray

-Dollar Tree twine

-Mod Podge

-Stain

-Dollar Tree greenery and ribbon
